TURKEY TROT 2022
2022 is the 29th year for the Annual Turkey Trot at Bourne Middle School.
Students can choose to WALK or RUN the race.
Turkey Trot Tuesday is November 22, 2022. Each grade level will have a specific race time ~ SEE BELOW.
We are PROUD to announce the return of CAN WARS! Bring in canned goods and perishable items for your homeroom to support the Bourne Food Pantry.
T'shirts will go on sale NEXT WEEK! More info to follow.
It will be a purple and white day in order to foster a sense of community and Bourne Pride.
Some of the benefits of the Turkey Trot include:
We will start to prepare the kids October 31, in order for the kids to train effectively for the race. In our classes, we complete a conditioning unit.
We do a variety of conditioning ~ timed mile, work –rest interval training, and endurance training.
Lastly, the two days leading up to the race, Mr. Mather and I walk the route 6 times a day prior to the race day in order to insure the safety for the kids.
